Group volunteer

Always better with more.

At Cherryland Humane Society, volunteering in a group can have a significant impact on the shelter and the animals in our care. By coming together with friends, family, colleagues, or classmates to volunteer as a group, you can accomplish a great deal in a short amount of time as well as foster a sense of teamwork and community.

Group volunteering

Businesses are welcome to bring in a group of employees for a few hours of volunteering at Cherryland Humane Society. During this time, participants will receive a tour of the shelter and assist with various projects. While direct contact with animals is not permitted throughout the volunteering session, participants will have the opportunity to spend time with a dog or cat at the end of their volunteer shift.

To learn more about group volunteering opportunities or to schedule a visit, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel. Group sizes should not exceed 10 individuals, and visits can be scheduled on Tuesdays through Saturdays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

School group visits

School staff are welcome to schedule class or group visits at Cherryland Humane Society for tours, service projects, or item donations. During the main activities, there is no direct contact with animals. However, at the end of the visit, participants have the opportunity to spend time with a dog or a cat.

To arrange a visit, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, Rachel. Visits can be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Before the visit, all children must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
